Isn't evolution the conclusion to a string of inferences no different from faith?

Christians have the archaeological, linguistic and historical evidence to back up the validity of the Bible. Evolutionists have their favorite scientific hypothesis and evidence which supposedly backs up their faith. Of course, they can't both be true.
