My Lips are Raw & Hurt because I brushed them (with Vaseline) But I brushed too Hard ! Help !?

Help , I used Vaseline on a toothbrush & brushed my lips (to make them softer) but I guess I brushed too Hard, cause now they get Super Dry so quickly , and they're raw & they hurt.. Does anyone have a way to make them soft again or just fix what happened ?! Please & Thanks !
